Why we built the Career OS.
An honest, first-person account of how a small resume tool became an AI Career Operating System.
Every job hunt I’ve run — mine, my friends’, my team’s — looked the same: a dozen tools that each saw a slice, and one exhausted human trying to hold the whole picture together. Every tool optimised its own slice. Every tool got smarter alone. The user kept getting more tired.
So I built the smallest useful thing first: a resume checker that would actually tell you why your ATS score was low, not just that it was.
The realisation
The moment the tool started giving explainable answers, users stopped asking about the score. They asked bigger things. What role should I aim at? How do I prepare for it? What do I say if the recruiter goes quiet? How do I negotiate the offer?
The tool couldn’t answer any of that because it only saw one slice. The problem wasn’t the resume. The problem was that no software was seeing the career.
